Evidence-Informed Policy Making Small Grants for Research
Evidence-Informed Policy Making Small Grants for Research (more information on http://bit.ly/mVjHZF)These grants support research which deepens our understanding of the evidence-informed policy making process in low and middle income countries. We particularly welcome proposals which: • Assess the demands of policy makers for research information (e.g. a study examining the incentives and motivations which would drive legislative drafters to consider research evidence) • Assess the capabilities of policy makers/influencers to access and use research information (e.g a diagnostic test of the abilities of researchers in a government think tank to source information) • Evaluate the use of evidence in existing policy making outputs - including white papers, bills etc (e.g a study of the sources of research evidence used in a policy brief produced by a research department) • Explore the links between policy makers, research intermediaries and researchers
