About Me
Currently the acting Programme Manager of the Climate Diagnostics and Prediction Department at the IGAD Climate Prediction and Applications Centre (ICPAC). Mr Atheru holds a Bachelor of Science (Meteorology) and a Master of Business Administration from Nairobi University, Kenya. Before joining ICPAC in October 2000 he had worked for 16 years in the Kenya Meteorological Department rising to the level of Principal Meteorologist. He has attended several international conferences, workshops and meetings on climate related issues and disaster risk reduction. Mr Atheru also has skills in strategic management, project cycle management and results based monitoring and evaluation among others.
