Fond d’Innovation AfricaAdapt pour le Partage de Connaissances (2009)

  • Overview: Les communautés pauvres en Afrique sont aux premières aux prises avec la réalité du changement climatique. Toutefois, ces communautés restent exclues des processus formels de partage de connaissances. C’est dans ce sens que le réseau AfricaAdapt lance son Fond d’Innovation AfricaAdapt pour le Partage de Connaissances pour la promotion du savoir-local et des initiatives locales de partage de connaissances.

    Cette année, le Fond d’Innovation soutient neuf projets qui répondent au besoin les plus urgents des communautés touchées. Parmi les 500 propositions de projets faites par des chercheurs, des organisations communautaires ou des coopératives, 9 projets recevront une affectation de fonds allant jusqu’à 10000 dollars.

    Pourquoi les communautés d’abord?

    Les communautés marginalisées sont les premières victimes du changement climatique. Elles disposent d’un savoir précieux qui découle des stratégies d’adaptation locales et de l’observation de l’environnement avec lequel elles sont en étroite relation.

    La contribution des communautés au partage des connaissances est essentiel pour renforcer leur capacité en matière d’adaptation aux changements climatiques. Les connaissances locales et le savoir-faire de ces communautés mérite d'être reconnu et partagé.

    Les projets soutenus par le Fond d’Innovation AfricaAdapt pour le Partage de Connaissances vont expérimenter un mode de partage de connaissances qui pourra être répliqué dans un autre contexte ou à une plus grande échelle. Un second appel à candidatures sera lancé par le réseau AfricaAdapt en 2010.

    * Sensibiliser et éduquer au changement climatique dans les bidonvilles

    * Les Pygmées de l’Est du Cameroun face aux changements climatiques

    * Le Club Radio Citoyen « Valoriser les voix citoyennes à travers la radio communautaire »

    * Engager l’Art, le Sport et la Culture dans les efforts de partage de connaissance sur l’adaptation a Togo

    * Film d’échange d’expérience sur l’adaptation aux changements climatiques

    * Imaginer et rassembler pour l’adaptation
